DES MOINES, Iowa—The most recent U.S. Drought Monitor Map released for this week shows drought conditions in eastern Iowa continue to increase. Extreme Drought is now showing up in northeast Iowa while Severe Drought conditions also continued to expand. The overall percentage of drought in Iowa is unchanged from the previous week, but the intensity has increased.
Boone County conditions continue unchanged with the county remaining Abnormally Dry.
