DES MOINES, Iowa—Drought conditions across the state improved in the past week and that does not include any rain that’s fallen this week. During the week of the Farm Progress Show, much of the state dealt with excessive heat, but there was also timely precipitation, especially over Northwest Iowa. Abnormally Dry conditions dropped by nearly 10%. Moderate Drought conditions declined about a percent and a half. Moderate Drought covered much of North Central Iowa. Locally, no drought conditions in Boone County.
