BOONE, Iowa—Until the rain began earlier this week, extreme drought conditions continued to expand in Iowa with much more of the state included in the expanding areas of moderate to severe drought conditions. Extreme drought conditions affected most of Boone County and usually includes major crop and pasture losses and potential water shortages.
