BOONE, Iowa—Drought conditions have continued to expand across the state. The weekly map from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that more than half the state had either moderate or severe drought. Abnormally Dry conditions cover another large portion of the state including all of Boone County. There is a small area in southern tier of counties listed as drought free.
