BOONE, Iowa—The road conditions in Boone County are not good early Sunday morning. However, conditions can be expected to improve as road crews resume work. The 511ia.org website shows US Highway 169 in northwest Boone County at Boxholm as impassable, which is not uncommon during Blizzard Conditions. At least early towing is still not recommended. Visibility has improved, however there is currently a Wind Chill Warning in place until noon Tuesday. Early morning Wind Chill in Boone is -40° to -45°.
