Edward Judge

NAPIER, Iowa—Edward Judge, age 78, of Napier, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Boone County Hospital in Boone.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, in Boone, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 915 12th Street, Boone. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, east of Luther.

Edward was born April 21, 1945, in Boone County, the youngest of five children, to Bill and Dorothy (Healy) Judge. Ed was united in marriage to Beth Peterson in April 1967.

Ed attended Iowa State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy in 1968. After graduation, he began farming and retired in 2009. Ed lived in Napier all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dorothy Judge; in-laws, Randall and Nora Peterson; and sister, Virginia (Fred) Meek.

Ed is survived by his wife of 56 years Beth Judge of Napier; two sons, David (Abbey) Judge of Kansas City, MO and Richard (Tara) Judge of Clear Lake; three grandchildren, Katherine Judge, Isaac Judge and Edward Judge; sister, Jane (John) Baty of Ames; sister, Margaret (Denny) Graettinger of Rockford, IL; and brother, Bill (Patsy) Judge of Napier.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Ed’s family at www.schroederememorialchapel.com
