Eli Stines, Boone Mayor talks about Monday’s City Council Meeting. The Boone City Council set quite a few public hearings for the next Council Meeting. Stines pointed out the of the hearings will be the City’s proposed maximum levy rate, which is unchanged from the current fiscal year. That will be a mandated separate meeting at 5:00 on April 7th. He also said the regular meeting is moved up to 5:30 in the afternoon from the regular 6:00 meeting. Stines also mentioned that the flashing red lights at Mamie Eisenhower and Story Street were caused by a weather issue during last Friday’s storm and the city is awaiting the arrival of replacement components to return to normal operation. Aired Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
