Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, talks about the Boone City Council meeting and the decision by the Council to move ahead with the ordinance to rezone property on the southeast side of the city for the Daisy Project. He explained that one business owner in the R.L. Fisher Business Park spoke against the rezoning. The Council also approved updating the contract with U.S. Water for operation of both the Boone Water Works and Water Environment Station. The contract update will allow the use of State Revolving Loan proceeds for planned projects at both plants. Aired Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
