Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, talks about the Boone City Council Meeting held Monday evening, April 7th. The Council first held the required public hearing on the maximum tax levy rate. The rate will remain unchanged for the next fiscal year, remaining at $15.12. During the Council Meeting, approval was given to seek a community development block grant for a water ground reservoir rehabilitation project. The Council also approved moving ahead with a wastewater treatment plant improvement headworks project. The council also approved moving ahead with rezoning for the Page Flats Project and Lincoln Flats Project, when no one voiced opposition to rezoning. Aired Tuesday, April 08, 2025.
