Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, talks about the Boone City Council meeting held Monday evening. Stine noted it was a very quick meeting. The Council did approve a bid for the construction of the extension of Hancock Drive to serve the Daisy Plant east of Corporal Snedden Drive. The Iowa DOT handled the bid letting and has committed $3million in RISE Funding for the project. Stines also Public Works is busy getting ready for Pufferbilly Days. And, he said over the weekend, an apparent agreement on the Arch Project was negotiated. The Downtown Boone Mainstreet Board will give consideration and they hope the Council will follow.
