Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, talks about the Boone City Council Meeting. The Council spent quite a bit of time talking about a way to notify residents that are in violation of nuisance abatement laws for lawn mowing. The issue did come up last year and did not gain council support. This year, the council did agree, five to two, to begin having the Community Service Officer post the notice and giving the property owner time to take care of the situation before having a contracted service mow the lawn. The Council also found out that Lead Service Line Notices are going to be sent out in July. It’s a mandated notification required by the DNR and EPA. Aired Tuesday, June 03, 2025.
