by later in the weekend as a cold front moves into Iowa.

7 PM CDT SATURDAY...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued an
Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect from 1 PM this
afternoon to 7 PM CDT Saturday. The Excessive Heat Watch is no
longer in effect.

* TEMPERATURE...The combination of temperatures in the 90s and
dewpoints in the 70s will produce daytime heat index values of
100 to 110 degrees. Overnight lows will remain warm in the
  middle 70s to near 80.

* IMPACTS...Heat-related illnesses may occur due to the
prolonged period of heat and humidity.
