DES MOINES, Iowa—Today, Rep. Randy Feenstra formally filed for Governor of Iowa, submitting petition signatures from all 99 counties with more than double the required amount by the Secretary of State’s office. He was joined by dozens of supporters, lawmakers, and grassroots activists.
“I’m grateful to the thousands of Iowans who helped get our campaign on the ballot. The support that we’ve received in all 99 counties is humbling and proof that Iowans want a proven conservative leader who will take our state to new heights,” said Feenstra. “My vision for Iowa is grounded in making our state stronger and making life more affordable for Iowans. We will cut and freeze property taxes, make Iowa the most business- and ag-friendly state in the country, deliver world-class education for our kids, keep our kids in Iowa with great jobs, and deliver high-quality, affordable healthcare. I’ll keep traveling across Iowa on my statewide tour meeting with Iowans, answering their questions, and working to earn every vote.”
“Randy is the clear frontrunner in this race because he’s worked every day to raise record resources and travel the state to share his conservative message with Iowans. He is a proven conservative who has delivered results with President Trump and will take Iowa to new heights as Governor,” said Laura Steven, Campaign Manager. “Randy will work every day to defeat Extreme Liberal Rob Sand in November. Iowans are fired up to keep our state red and stop Rob Sand from turning Iowa into California, Minnesota, or Illinois.”
Earlier this month, Feenstra launched a 7-figure, statewide ad buy across network, cable, streaming, digital, and mail. The opening ad highlights Feenstra’s work with President Trump to secure the border, deport violent illegal immigrants, and pass Sarah’s Law, which ensures that illegal immigrants who harm or kill Americans are detained and prosecuted for their crimes. This ad campaign also ensures that Iowans learn who the real Rob Sand is — an extreme liberal who would turn Iowa into California, Illinois, or Minnesota.
In just a few short months, Feenstra has made nearly 80 stops on his statewide tour of Iowa and has been endorsed by more than 50 current and former lawmakers in Iowa. He has the endorsements of Senator Joni Ernst, Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer, State Treasurer Roby Smith and Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
