BOONE, Iowa—Over the past year, Fred Greiner has been raising funds and seeking supporters for the Boone County Freedom Rock landscaping project. Work is now underway on that project, but more support will still be accepted. Laying the pavers is underway and a moment was taken to allow Bob Hammond, one of the Freedom Rock Committee volunteers, to lay a paver he sponsored on behalf of his son Brian, a Veteran that passed away in May 2019.
Those wishing to donate to the project or sponsor a paver can still do so. Any pavers that are sponsored at this time will be installed in the spring of 2021. All donations and sponsorships are made through the Boone Parks Foundation. Additional information is available on the Boone County Freedom Rock website.
