Graden wins conference long jump title

Taydem Graden was West Central Activities Conference champion for the Ogden track teams Tuesday, May 6, at Urbandale.

Taydem Graden was West Central Activities Conference champion for the Ogden track teams Tuesday, May 6, at Urbandale. 

Graden won the long jump with her jump of 17.03.50. 

The girls had 2 runners-up with the shuttle hurdle relay of Aubrey Leonard, Sophie Seligman, Breaunna Wenger and Samantha Lass finishing in 1:08.75 and the 4×400-meter relay of Wenger, Sydney King, Dakota Jones and Lass finishing in 4:09.19. 

King finished 3rd in the 200-meter dash in 26.96, and the sprint medley relay of Leonard, Seligman, Wegner and Lass also finished 3rd in 1:54.34. 

The Ogden girls finished 2nd with 84 points while Van Meter won the meet with173 points. 

For the boys, Brady Van Sickle was 3rd in the 800-meter run in 2:04.42 and Jude Benbow was 3rd in the 1,600-meter run in 4:42.29. 

Van Sickle was 4th in the 400-meter dash in 53.32, and Myles Tromblay finished 4th in the 1,600-meter run in 4:43.59. 

Additionally the distance medley relay of Jude Klith, Tyler Lass, Carson Muggenberg and Benbow finished 4th in 3:54.61. 

The Ogden boys finished 6th with 49 points while Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center won the meet with 127 points.

Ogden will host a co-ed meet Friday, May 9, and honor their seniors.
