BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 97-year old Harold Gildea of Boone, Iowa and the Westhaven Community in Boone, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Christian Church in Boone, Iowa. Following Harold’s wishes, his body has been cremated. Burial of his cremated remains will be held in the Squire Boone Cemetery south of Boone, Iowa. Military Honors will be conducted by the Boone Veterans Council.
Visitation will be held at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone, Tuesday afternoon and evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will be present and will be receiving friends at that time.
Visitation Wednesday will be held at the Central Christian Church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Central Christian Church.
