BOONE, Iowa—The public is invited to attend this celebration that includes tours of Brett and Danielle Schmidt’s efficient new house. Special presentations will be made and refreshments will be served. Receiving keys to their new house will highlight the day for the Schmidt family.
As with all Habitat for Humanity partner families, the Schmidts will pay for their home through a zero-interest mortgage. Their affordable monthly payments will help provide the same opportunity for additional partner families in coming years.
Healthy, efficient and affordable housing was something the Schmidt family couldn’t even imagine a year ago. Through the efforts of local Habitat volunteers and financial supporters, the dream has become reality for Brett, Danielle and their three daughters, Hunter, Mattilynn and Lucy.
The entire community is invited to celebrate with the Schmidt family by attending the dedication of their new family home on Sunday, November 23, 1:30 p.m. at 1115 College St in Boone.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard and poverty housing. All persons are welcome as partner families and volunteers regardless of religious beliefs or affiliations.
