BOONE, Iowa—Ground has been broken for the construction of the 33rd home build for Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity. Last year, Heart of Iowa Habitat built their 32nd home in Ogden. The project this year returns to Boone to 1115 College Street. The Brett and Daniele Schmidt family with daughters Hunter, Mattilynn and Lucy participated. Jennifer Hanson, speaking on behalf of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce noted that when a family succeeds by obtaining safe, affordable housing we’re all stronger.
