BOONE, Iowa—It’s been awhile since the Ledges State Park has experienced a significant flood event. However, last week access to areas such as the boat ramp, flood pole parking lot, and the lower reaches of the canyon; have been under water from excessive rainfall events. For the time being the Lower Ledges Road from approximately Camp Hantesa to the boat ramp exit road will be close to vehicle traffic. Visitors are cautioned not to enter the floodwaters on foot.
