BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Historical Society hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony this week to reopen the Fareway Gallery. The Historical Society Board hosted Fareway representatives, members and the Boone County Chamber for the event. The event also featured the Boone County Merchants area of the Fareway Gallery with more than 300 items from the Historical Society’s collection and items on loan representing old advertising, photos, information on businesses in Boone and Boone County communities.
The updated Fareway Gallery with the Boone County Merchants area is one of the welcoming features at the Boone County Historical Center, open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Members are free and admission is only $5 person for non-members.
