Hy-Vee Partners with Variety-The Children’s Charity for Annual Round-Up Campaign to Support Kids in Need

KWBG 02/03/25

DES MOINES, Iowa—Customers can make a difference by rounding up their purchases to the next dollar, now through Feb. 28, to support children in need across the Midwest.

Hy-Vee is once again joining forces with Variety – the Children’s Charity for its annual Round Up campaign, giving customers the chance to support children who are critically ill, at-risk, underprivileged, or living with special needs. Now through February 28, customers can round up their total at the register to the nearest dollar, with 100% of proceeds going to Variety’s programs that provide life-changing assistance to children in need.

The funds raised through the Round Up campaign will help Variety fund essential mobility equipment, such as adaptive bikes, gait trainers, and mobile standers, for children living with special needs. Additionally, the donations will support vital programs, grants, and transportation solutions for children who are underserved or facing critical health challenges.

“We are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Variety, which has been a cornerstone of Hy-Vee’s commitment to giving back for over 40 years. Every dollar raised during this campaign directly impacts the lives of children in need and helps build a stronger, more inclusive community across the Midwest,” said Ryan Roberts, Senior Vice President of Hy-Vee and Board Member of Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa.

“We are deeply grateful for Hy-Vee’s ongoing partnership and generosity,” said Wendy Ingham, Executive Director of Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa. “This Round Up campaign allows us to make a direct, meaningful impact on the lives of so many children who need it most. Hy-Vee’s dedication to the community is unparalleled, and this campaign is a perfect example of their commitment to helping children in need.”

Since 1983, Hy-Vee has raised more than $21 million to support Variety’s mission of improving the lives of children across the Midwest.
