BOONE, Iowa—It was a team effort Wednesday as members of the Boone Parks Department, Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone Public Works and the Boone Fire Department got the ice rink at Gutterridge Shelter ready for the season. Boone Park Commission member Susie Thorngren submitted the application to the Iowa Wild for a new liner for the skating rink. Boone Parks personnel were able to install the boards and the rink was filled Wednesday morning. It will take a couple of days for the ice to form. Information on the shelter, skate rentals and hours should be released soon.
