Next: Eli Stines, Boone Mayor talks about the recent City Council meeting. Stines said the Council officially adopt the Budget for the 2026 Fiscal Year. There were a couple of protests to the budget, one written and the other verbal at the Public Hearing. The Council was also updated on a potential change for fuel service from FS Fuel Sales. The City plans to remove their current fuel tanks and their fuel management system. The Council agreed to a budget amendment to the current fiscal year budget and allow the Parks Department to use money being saved for a sand filter for the swimming pool and purchase a new heater. The hopes of getting another season out of the current heater did not work out. These are only a couple of highlights from the meeting. Aired Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
