Jennifer Sue Rose

KWBG 08/06/20

ANKENY, Iowa—Jennifer Sue Rose, 50, Ankeny, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 5th, 2020. She was born August 16th, 1969 in Boone, Iowa beloved daughter of Ginger (Phipps) Jones. Jeni graduated from Ogden High School with the class of 1987 and then again from Iowa State University with the class of 1991. During her high school years, she enjoyed cheerleading for the Ogden Bulldogs, and won the title and crown of the Boone County Fair Queen in 1986.

She met the love of her life, Tony, on August 16th, 1985, her sixteenth birthday. They married on June 6th, 1992, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone, surrounded by their family and friends. Tony and Jeni welcomed their first son, Tanner, on March 10th, 1994 and their second son, Chase, on May 21st, 1999.

Besides being the best wife, best mom, best daughter, and best friend, she enjoyed boating and the lake life, traveling to some of her favorite hot spots (like Key West, FL), cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones, cooking, spending time with her neighborhood, high school and lake pals, decorating for any and all holidays, making dog treats for her pack that included Vinny and Dutch, singing karaoke (Lady Gaga), shopping, and celebrating life’s many accomplishments with her family. Jeni was feisty, she was stubborn. She played hard, but loved even harder. She was a loyal and faithful friend and devoted partner and mother.

She joined her sister Angela, her brother Jesse, her nephew Christian, her grandpa Jim, and grandpa Bob into the Lords Kingdom.

Survivors include: Her husband Tony and their two sons Tanner and Chase (Amber), her mother Ginger Jones, grandmother Twila Sue Phipps, sister Tina Lass, mother in law Lynne Jordan, sister in law, Amanda (Scott) Runyan, brother in law Tyler (Kayla) Rose, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home, 609 7th Street, Boone, Iowa. Interment will be at Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, Iowa. Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone. Memorials in Jeni’s name are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
