DES MOINES, Iowa—U.S. Senator Joni Ernst announced today that she will kickoff her campaign for the U.S. Senate at the 5th Annual Roast and Ride on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Central Iowa Expo in Boone.
Ernst said “Iowans sent me to the Senate to make ’em squeal; from cutting wasteful spending to eliminating special perks for Washington insider, we’ve been working to do exactly that. but, our fight isn’t over and there’s more work to be done.” Ernst went on to invite supporters to join her at what she expects to be the biggest Roast and Ride yet.
The motorcycle ride to honor veterans and patriots begins the day at Big Barn Harley Davidson in Des Moines and will end up at the Central Iowa Expo site east of Boone. Proceeds from the Ride will benefit Retrieving Freedom, Inc. a non-profit organization with operations in iowa that focuses on training service dogs to assist veterans and children with autism.
