Kevin Ford, 68, Boone, Iowa
BOONE, Iowa—Kevin Ford, age 68, of Boone, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at home after a long battle with cancer.
Kevin was born July 24, 1957, in Webster City, the son of Teddy and Margaret (Pohlman) Ford. He worked for more than 20 years at Duffy’s Appliance in Boone and then for 25 years in the warehouse at Fareway until his retirement in 2022.
He enjoyed pheasant hunting and shooting sporting clays. Kevin also had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, which he owned and rode for more than 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Teddy and Margaret Ford.
Kevin is survived by his partner of 14 years, Becky (Barstad) Wilson of Urbandale; his son, Brock (Kristine) Ford of Ankeny; his daughter, Drennon (Jonathan) Lakin of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Parker Lakin, Nellie Lakin, Willow Lakin, Melanie Ford, Harlan Lakin, and Lillie Ford; his sister, Deb Svaleson of Boone; as well as nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
A Celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on his 69th birthday, Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the clubhouse at Cedar Pointe Golf Course, 601 South Cedar Street, Boone.
