BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Economic Growth Executive Board of Directors has announced the identification and optioning of 210 acres of land for future industrial development in the Boone community.
This effort follows the 2024 announcement by Daisy Brand to construct a new manufacturing facility in Boone, an investment that will utilize one of the community’s last available developed industrial sites.
“The identification of additional industrial land has been one of our organization’s highest priorities since the Daisy announcement,” said Cody Bowers, President of the Boone County Economic Growth Board of Directors.
The newly identified site will be fully supported by essential infrastructure, including municipal water and sewer service from the City of Boone, electric and natural gas service from Alliant Energy, and telecommunications provided by Ogden Telephone.
“We are excited to partner with the Boone County Economic Growth Corporation and the Ames Regional Economic Alliance to market this site and attract the next company to call Boone home,” said Terry Moorman, City of Boone Economic Development Committee Chairperson.
The 210-acre site is located at the intersection of Mamie Eisenhower Drive and 210th Street on the east side of Boone.
