BOONE, Iowa—Leola Anne Lawson, infant daughter of Mason Allie and Austin Lawson, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Boone County Hospital in Boone.
Leola was born February 18, 2025, in Boone. She was a happy baby, enjoyed her sleep and had always slept through the night. Leola’s favorite toy was her Stitch doll, which she loved the squeaking it made. She was entertained by her two older sisters and was always curious of what they were up to.
Leola loved playing with grandpa and being with her daddy. She had three words that she would say, “Mama, Dada, and Baba”.
She was preceded in death by her grandma, Melissa Crow and great-grandpa, Gerald Rodby.
Leola is survived by her parents, Mason Allie and Austin Lawson; two sisters, Davorah Lawson and Tala Lawson; grandparents, Mike Allie, Jr., James Lawson, and Crystall (Niles Funk) Tipton; great-grandmas, Patricia Strickland, Saundra Cheatwood and Linda Rodby; great-grandpa, Michael Allie, Sr.; three uncles, Luke Allie, Kyle Allie and Justin Lawson; and loved by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Fareway Conference Center at the Cobblestone Inn and Suites, 1900 Lakewood Drive, Boone. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
