Lori Carstensen

Boone, Iowa—Lori Lyn Carstensen, age 54 of Boone, died on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

Lori was born on August 1, 1967 in Boone, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Sharon K. (Mills) Carstensen. She attended Boone High School.

Lori was loved by many- friends and family. She cherished her family, especially time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of nature. She was a member of the Boone Elks Lodge No. 2884 and lately has been working to get a Fraternal Order of Eagles started in Boone.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Sharon Carstensen. She is survived by her daughter, April Allen and son, Jesse Frank (Cassidy Shreve), all of Boone; grandchildren, Dylan Allen, Grace Allen, Cooper Frank, Jaxson Frank and Stetson Frank; brother, Brad (Tracy) Carstensen of St. Joseph, MO; along with nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Cornerstone Church in Boone. A Celebration of Lori’s Life will be held at a later date.

Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets is in charge of arrangements.
