The Madrid baseball team came up short on the road Monday, June 30, falling 8-4 to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center in West Central Conference play.
Emerson Bridgewater led Madrid at the plate with 2 hits and a run scored, while Kolbie Owens added an RBI single.
Bridgewater also started on the mound, striking out four batters in the loss.
With the defeat, Madrid drops to 6-14 overall and 3-12 in the conference, while ACGC improves to 9-11 (6-10 conference).
The Tigers now face a challenge as they return home tonight to host Pleasantville (24-1 overall, 16-0 conference) in a conference doubleheader, with games scheduled for 5 and 7 p.m.
