The Madrid boys’ track team edged past South Hamilton to win the South Hamilton Co-Ed meet Thursday, April 10 at Jewell.
The Tigers scored 140 points, edging out the Hawks by 2 points.
Madrid had 3 champions in the field events.
Brody Buck won the high jump with his jump of 5-10.00
Preston Wicker won the shot put with a throw of 47-06.00 and the discus with his throw of 120-04.
Cavin Pehl won the 1,600-meter run in 5:18.69.
The Tigers also won the 4×100-meter relay in 45.06 (Easton Halverson, Jacob Farrell, Jake Sawyer and Tyler Sonnenfeldt).
Teams participating at South Hamilton included Madrid, South Hamilton, West Marshall, Collins-Maxwell, Beaman-Conrad-Liscomb-Union-Whitten and Colo-Nesco.

The boys travel to Gowrie for the Southeast Valley Invite Monday, April 14, and to Des Moines for the Saydel Invite Thursday, April 17.
