
The Madrid Tigers girls’ basketball team continued their perfect start to the season Tuesday, December 2, with a 50-19 victory over Southeast Valley in a non-conference game at Southeast Valley High School.
Madrid wasted no time setting the tone, racing to a 20-1 lead by the end of the first quarter.
By halftime, the Tigers had built a 40-7 advantage.
Laura Eagleton led the charge with 24 points, including four three-pointers and was a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.
Lauren Dvorak added 11 points and dominated the boards with 15 rebounds, while also contributing two steals.
Samantha Springer chipped in eight points, highlighted by a three-pointer, and grabbed five rebounds.
Audrey Brown dished out seven assists, and Springer and Dvorak added three and two assists, respectively.
The Tigers improved to 3-0 on the season, while Southeast Valley dropped to 1-1.
Madrid will host Panorama in their West Central Conference opener on Friday, December 5 at 6:30 p.m.
