03/02/26
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who wanted to report harassment from an ex. He stated that his ex, sent his daughter a picture of him in the bar drinking when he is in AA. He stated that he was drinking only water and all the owners of the bar could verify that. The subject admitted to sending her a text message telling her to grow up, even though he had already been advised to have no contact with her. Officer spoke to both parties and informed them that any further contact would lead to harassment charges on both sides.
Officer received and filled a request from the Boone County Attorney, for video evidence in a felony theft case.
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who allowed his wife’s brother to stay and now will not leave. Officers attempted to locate the subject but could not. Officer passed it onto the night officer.
Officer was dispatched to Kennedy and Southern Prairie drive for a report of a suspended driver operating a vehicle in that area, Officer was unable to locate the driver in question but found the vehicle parked at the Milwaukee St. Apartments
Officer was dispatched to Milwaukee St apartments #5 for a report of female that was invited there the night before by the apartment occupants, the caller now no longer wanted the female at the residence. Female was leaving upon Officers arrival. Officer stayed until the female left the premises. No issues.

Officer received information of a wanted subject that was staying with family in town. Officer made contact with a Micheal Reeves, in the 900 block of South Kennedy Avenue. He was taken into custody on his out-of-town warrant for failure to appear. The officer was backed up by a Boone County Deputy. The Deputy transported the subject to the Boone County jail where he was held.
Officer received a call from a Madrid residence dealing with a harassment issue. Officer made contact with the subjects and then spoke to school staff and made a plan of action to get the issues stopped.
Officer was called by school staff about two students sneaking out. Officer located the two subjects and gave them a ride back to school.
Officer met with a Madrid business and picked up some expired meds to be destroyed.
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident in reference to a neighbor that he suspected was taking things from other neighbors. Officer informed him that he would give the area extra patrol.
Officer spoke to a subject in reference to wanting to retrieve some property from a subject that he was no longer associating with. Officer informed him that since he lived in the county, that he needed to contact the Boone County Sheriff’s Office for a stand-by.
Officer received a call from a subject reporting an orange SUV making bad passes and speeding on Highway 17 northbound. Officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at Casey’s and made contact with the driver who stated that she did make one pass but that she did it safely. The driver stated that people must be calling in because they hate her or the color of her vehicle.

Officer received a call from a Madrid business about a parking complaint. Officer found the vehicle in question to belong to the adjoining business owner.
Officer was dispatched to return a call to a Madrid resident. Officer spoke to the business representative who wanted a trespass warning issued to a past employee, that was allowed into the building last week and took some items without authorization. Officer left a message on the subject’s cell phone and will wait for a call back to give the warning to the subject.
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident about a process for the federal prison. Officer was unable to answer the question but gave them recommendations to call to hopefully get the answer.
Officer received a parking complaint from a Madrid business of a vehicle blocking their loading dock. Officer ran the plate but was unable to locate the driver. Officer tagged the vehicle. The business owner messaged a short time later and the car was gone.
Officer performed a vehicle unlock in the 500 block of East 2nd Street. Officer unlocked the vehicle without incident.
Officer released a copy of a theft report to a subject for his insurance company.
03/05/26
Officer received two calls, of a young child that crossed Highway 17 and was running West on 8th Street. Caller stated that he then was running North on State Street. Officer made contact with the child at 5th and State and got him into the car. The juvenile stated that he missed the bus and had to be to school on time. Officer gave him and ride to school and spoke to staff on their arrival.
Officer was called the 100 block of North Kennedy Avenue for a lift assist. Officer called for assistance from Madrid Fire Rescue and Boone County Ambulance. The patient was uninjured and was assisted up into bed.
Officer returned a call for more of an information sharing conversation about a civil court case going through dealing with property after the death of another family member. Officer gave the information on what he remembered on the call and the caller was satisfied with the answer and stated that she required no further assistance.
Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue with a medical call in the 300 block of West 7th Street.
Officer received a voicemail on the Police Department non-emergency number advising there was an injured opossum in the 300 block of West 2nd Street. Officer made several passes through the neighborhood and could not locate the opossum.
Officer was dispatched to Edgewood Park for a Madrid resident who locked his keys in the trunk of his vehicle, Officer informed the resident we would not be able to assist as we have no tools open trunks, Officer offered a ride home to which the male refused.

Officer assisted with a medical call on North County Line Road.
Officer returned a call and email reference a FOIA request for multiple addresses in the city.
Officer took a complaint of a property on East 1st Street, with junk and abandoned vehicles. Officer attempted to speak with the owner, but he wasn’t home.
Officer picked up a box of old shotgun shells found in a resident’s garage during a spring cleaning. They will be disposed of.
Officer took a report of a suspicious vehicle on East 8th Street, during school bus drop off time on Thursday. Officer provided additional patrol and notified the school of the complaint.
Officer responded to the 900 block of South Kennedy for a welfare check. It was discovered that the address given for the party officer was to check welfare of did not live at this address.
Officer responded to the 600 block of Maverick Lane, to assist with a medical emergency.
03/07/26
Officer responded to the Historical Museum for a medical call.
Officer responded to South Washington Street, for an emergent medical call.
Officer responded to a report of an alarm going off at a residence on East 8th Street. Officer contacted the owner and determined everything was OK.
Officer responded to the Museum for an alarm, determined to be false.
Officers responded to the 500 block of Milwaukee for a 911 call. Upon investigations Beckett, Amber Lynn of Madrid was arrested and booked into the Boone County Jail for two counts of Child Endangerment.
Officer responded to the 700 block of East Second Street on a request for a welfare check. Officer made contact with person family was concerned for and everything was okay.
Officer located two cows roaming at large near the West city limits. Officer contacted a possible owner and determined they belonged to him. The officer led them back home and assisted in getting them back in the fence line.
Officer spoke with a property owner on East 1st Street after receiving an anonymous complaint from a neighbor about some junk and possibly abandoned vehicles on the property. The homeowner advised that all the vehicles run with current registration and he is in the process of remodeling the home to beautify the neighborhood. Although it has been difficult during the winter months to keep it tidy, he agreed that now that the weather is a bit warmer it will be easier to do so.
