BOONE, Iowa—Iowa’s Finance and Economic Development Authority Director, Debi Durham paid a return visit to Boone Tuesday to formally welcome the community to the Main Street Iowa Program. The announcement that Boone and Indianola were selected to join the program was made a week ago at the Iowa Downtown Conference in Cedar Rapids. Joining Durham were members of the Main Street Iowa leadership team. People that will be returning to help the local board start to move forward. Michael Wagler, Main Street Iowa Coordinator emphasized the Main Street is a process. Kelley Molitor said a survey will be available soon and she encouraged people to complete the survey and plan to be at a meeting on September 11th at Boone City Hall to continue moving forward as a Main Street community.
