BOONE, Iowa—Mark “Muc” McPherson, 65, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. He was born on July 5, 1957, in Perry, Iowa, the
son of Loyal and Eunice (Hendricks) McPherson. On November 21, 1987, Mark married
Lynnette Huffman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
During Muc’s life, he was many things: professional wrestler, Regional President of the Sons of
Silence Motorcycle Club, member of Diamond D. Rodeo and the Iowa Trail Riders Association,
and worked for D&J’s Complete Tree Service until his stroke in 2013.
He loved helping his friends and the children at the Diamond D. Rodeo, providing the horses to
ride, and donating saddles to be given as awards. He wrestled for charity (The United Way), had
fundraisers for friends in need, and always made sure that his friend’s children would have
presents for their birthdays or Christmas. He also loved riding his motorcycle and his mule
“Biggs”. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, watching
Westerns, wrestling, and gambling.
He is loved by some, a mentor to a few, and will be missed by many. The world is a sorrier place
without him in it.
Muc was preceded in death by his parents, Loyal and Eunice McPherson.
He is survived by his wife, Lynnette; sons, Angus and Lando; grandchildren, Lachlan and
Margaret; god-daughter, Danyel Holst; foster daughter, Megan (Marchellino) Bruneau; brother,
Michael (Mic), and sister, Karita. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and many,
many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on December 31, 2022, at D&J’s Tree Service, 203
Cpl Roger Snedden Drive, Boone, Iowa 50036. Bring your own drink and a story.
