Mary Lee Pantier

KWBG 04/03/23

BOONE, Iowa—A celebration of life for 77-year old Mary Lee Pantier – formerly of Boone – will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 11:00 AM at Forsyth Trinity Church in Forsyth, Missouri. She passed away on Friday, March 10, in Springfield, Missouri.

Mary Lee Pantier was born January 14, 1946, in Boone, the daughter of Orville and Delphia (Harbour) Pantier. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, John and Bessie Anderson. Mary Lee had many adventures in her life, from going to Woodstock to living in Las Vegas to living in the country with no running water. She worked as the Taney County Jail as a chaplain where she preached the word of God and mentored many men and women, which she was passionate and proud about.

Mary Lee was also a very talented artist; it’s the one thing she enjoyed the most. Always painting and drawing, she even found mushrooms in the woods to woodburn and paint on. She had a love of nature, rocks, flowers, thrift stores and her dog, Harley. She was most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, three brothers, two sisters, one grandson and her beloved dog. She is survived by children: Marti Melton Streeter of Boone; Joseph Madson of Licking, Missouri; Jon (EJ) Burton of Des Moines; Denyse Blunk of Harlan. Brother Jim (Kathy) Pantier of Minnesota; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
