BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence hosted a presentation Friday at the DMACC-Boone Campus. The Coalition recognized Boone Police Department Detective John Mayse for his outstanding work in victim justice and community engagement. The ceremony was held at the annual Victim’s Rights Awareness Week was winding down. The month of April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
