Midtown Crossing to Become a Family Entertainment Venue in Boone, Supported by Revitalize Boone Downtown Business Grant

KWBG 02/28/25

BOONE, Iowa—Midtown Crossing, a new business set to open in Downtown Boone, is poised to become a central hub for family entertainment in the community. Located at 714 Story St., this new venture will offer an exciting axe-throwing venue designed to provide a unique and engaging experience for residents and visitors alike.

The owner of Midtown Crossing, Julianna Starling, is committed to transforming the space into a premier family destination, bringing a fresh and dynamic activity to the downtown area. Thanks to the support of the Revitalize Boone Downtown Business Grant, Starling will be able to move forward with the project. The funds from this grant will be allocated towards purchasing construction materials and hiring contractors to install the throwing lanes, ensuring that the facility meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

Cory Henson, a member of the City of Boone Economic Development Committee, expressed enthusiasm about the project’s impact on the community, “The development of Midtown Crossing is an exciting addition to downtown Boone. The city’s commitment to supporting new businesses is evident, and this axe-throwing venue will offer a fresh, family-friendly entertainment option. We are pleased to support Julianna’s vision and look forward to the positive impact Midtown Crossing will have on our local economy and the vibrancy of the downtown area.”

With this initiative, Boone continues to make significant strides in revitalizing its downtown district, fostering a business-friendly environment, and enhancing the quality of life for all residents. Midtown Crossing is poised to play an important role in this ongoing revitalization, offering a unique venue where families and individuals can enjoy a fun, active experience in the heart of the city.
