Friday morning, May 8th, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Boone Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire on West 16th Street. Upon arrival, bystanders reported to the fire crew that they believed the occupant was still inside the home. Late the resident was reached and found to not be home. The fire was eventually brought under control but the home sustained serious damage. No injuries were reported.
