Boone cross country teams headed to Perry to compete on Thursday, Oct. 3.
The boys finished 6th with 136 points, and the girls finished 4th with 111 points.
Winterset won both the boys and girls races as the boys had 41 points and the girls had 42 points.
The top finisher for the Toreador boys was Dorian Myers who finished 7th in 18:25.82.
Blake Gradoville ended 13th in 19:03.40, and Calvin Cook placed 31st in 20:14.92.
Kyan Lehman was 37th in 20:36.20, Pearson Lampe ended 49th in 20:58.87 and Sam Chesnut placed 50th in 21:00.00.
For the Boone girls, Emmalyn Thomas was first across the line finishing in 9th place in 21:28.95.
Morgan Chesnut ended in18th place in 22:54.50, and Bry Morgan was 27th in 23:56.48.
Rounding out the scoring for the Toreadors were Lynneah Pickering in 29th in 24:30.99, Poppy Malone was 38th in 25:02.11 and Averie Strollo was 91st in 35:34.34.
Ballard, Boone, Des Moines Christian, Des Moines Hoover, Des Moines North, Greene County, Perry, Roland-Story, Saydel and Winterset all competed at the Perry meet.
Next week the Toreadors compete on Monday, Oct. 7, at the North Polk Invite in Polk City and host a meet at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone on Thursday, Oct. 10.
