BOONE, Iowa—Boone Public Works has finally been able to secure the signage and has now installed stop signs at First Street and Delaware Street, the intersection with the entrance to the Boone Middle School. The City Council changed the ordinance recently at the recommendation of the Public Safety and Transportation Committee. A portable 4-way stop sign was used during school, but with increasing activities at the Middle School, it was felt that making the intersection a permanent 4-way stop would be safer.
