BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School District has been made aware of an effort to raise funds for the Boone School District Cheerleaders through the sale or sponsorship of T-Shirts. School District officials have released this statement:
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: We want to make parents and the community aware that if you receive a request to purchase or sponsor a t-shirt for the Boone Cheerleaders, there is NOT an active fundraiser going on for the Cheer team. This is NOT a company that is associated with Boone Community School District or the Athletic/Activities department.
