No Change in Drought Monitor in the Past Week

KWBG 11/29/24

DES MOINES, Iowa—As expected, there were no changes in the Weekly Drought Monitor update. Just over 60% of the state is in either Moderate or Severe Drought at this time. Moderate Drought makes up over 58% or the state and Severe Drought is just over 2% and is concentrated in Northwest Iowa along the Missouri River. Locally, Boone County remains Abnormally Dry which covers about a third of the state.
