The Ogden baseball team came up short in both games of a doubleheader Thursday, May 29, against undefeated Interstate 35.

The Bulldogs fell 2-1 in the opener and 9-8 in a high-scoring second game in Truro.

In Game 1, Ogden held a 1-0 lead after Colson Carson drove in a run in the fifth inning, part of his 4-hit performance.

But the Roadrunners rallied in the bottom of the sixth, scoring two runs to take the lead.

Hunter Mitchels took the loss in relief.

Game 2 was a back-and-forth affair.

Ogden built an early lead with runs in the second, third, and fourth innings, and added two more in the seventh in a late push.

However, a six-run sixth inning by Interstate 35 proved to be the difference.

Keagan Ristvedt led the Bulldogs offensively with three hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.

Christian Thede also tallied three hits.

CeJay Jones started on the mound and took the loss, while Logan Ryan and Treyton Mitchell combined for five strikeouts in relief.

With the losses, Ogden drops to 3-3 on the season, while Interstate 35 improves to 7-0.

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back tonight as they host Boone at 7 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on AM 1590, FM 101.5, and streamed at kwbglive.com, with sports director Ryan Wendt on the call.
