The Ogden baseball team held off a late push from East Sac County to secure a 4-3 road win in non-conference action Friday, June 13, in Sac City.

Ogden jumped out to an early lead, scoring one run in the top of the first and adding three more in the second.

The Bulldogs tacked on what would become the game-winning run in the third, just before East Sac County responded with two of their own in the bottom half of the inning.

Tanner Rohe sparked the offense with a triple, while Colson Carson, Christian Thede, and Bek Anderson each drove in a run.

Thede also scored once and added a hit, while Keagan Ristvedt and CeJay Jones each contributed a hit and a run scored.

Treyton Mitchell and Brody Burdette added to the hit column as well.

Mitchell earned the win on the mound, striking out one in his start.

Burdette and Thede came on in relief, each recording two strikeouts to help preserve the narrow lead.

With the win, Ogden improved to 7-11 overall and 4-7 in West Central Conference play.

East Sac County dropped to 2-8.

The Bulldogs return home tonight for a conference matchup against West Central Valley (3-9-1 overall, 1-7 conference), with first pitch set for 7 p.m.
