Ogden baseball loses to Tri-Center

The Ogden baseball team saw its postseason run come to an end Saturday, July 12, falling 8-4 to a strong Tri-Center squad in the Class 2A Substate 8 semifinal in Neola.

The Ogden baseball team saw its postseason run come to an end Saturday, July 12, falling 8-4 to a strong Tri-Center squad in the Class 2A Substate 8 semifinal in Neola. 

Ogden battled throughout the game, with key offensive contributions from Reagan Ristvedt, who had two hits and scored twice, and Tanner Rohe, who added two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.  

Thomas Bergstrom also tallied two hits and a run, while CeJay Jones chipped in with an RBI single. 

On the mound, Colson Carson went the distance, striking out nine in a complete game effort. 

Ogden finishes the season with a 14-16 record. 

Tri-Center, now 19-4, advances to the substate final. 

For the season, Colson Carson led the team with 36 hits, 20 RBIs, 6 wins, a 2.58 ERA, and 73 strikeouts. 

Tanner Rohe followed closely with 34 hits, 23 RBIs, and 30 strikeouts. 

Keagan Ristvedt added 33 hits and 14 RBIs, tying with Treyton Mitchell, who also had 14 RBIs. 

On the mound, Brody Burdette posted a 2.80 ERA, while Hunter Mitchels contributed 27 strikeouts.
