Ogden boys beat Glidden-Ralston

The Ogden boys’ basketball team beat Glidden-Ralston, 62-52, Thursday, February 6, at Glidden in non-conference play.

The Ogden boys’ basketball team beat Glidden-Ralston, 62-52, Thursday, February 6, at Glidden in non-conference play. 

The Bulldogs shot off to a 20-6 lead after the 1st quarter and led 36-16 at the half. 

The Wildcats had a strong 3rd quarter and brought the game to 52-43, but Ogden pulled out the victory, 63-52. 

Jase Coleman led the Bulldogs with 19 points on 5 field goals, 2 3-pointers and 7 free throws. 

Brayden Miller followed with 18 points on 8 field goals and 2 free throws while Jordan Benjamin scored 9 points on 2 3-pointers and 3 free throws. 

Brady Van Sickle had 4 assists while Kegan Ristvedt added 3. 

For the Bulldog defense, Benjamin had 6 rebounds and 3 steals while Coleman grabbed 6 rebounds and 1 steal. 

Miller also had 6 rebounds and 2 steals. 

Earlier in the evening, the Ogden girls’ basketball team lost to Glidden-Ralston, 60-27. 

The boys improved to 7-12 overall and are 4-9 in the conference while the girls fell to 1-19 overall and are 0-13 in the conference. 

Both teams travel to Earlham for a West Central Conference doubleheader at 6 and 7:30 tonight. 

The Earlham boys are 12-7 overall and 5-5 in the conference while the Earlham girls are 9-9 overall and 6-6 in the conference.
