Ogden boys fall to Tri-Center

The Ogden Bulldogs boys’ basketball team saw its season come to an end Friday, February 20, falling to Tri-Center, 99–75, in a Class 2A second‑round district matchup in Neola.

The Ogden Bulldogs boys’ basketball team saw its season come to an end Friday, February 20, falling to Tri-Center, 99–75, in a Class 2A second‑round district matchup in Neola.  

Junior Brayden Miller finished with 17 points, going 5-for-9 from the field and 7-for-8 from the free‑throw line.  

Miller also led Ogden on the glass with 9 rebounds, including 4 offensive boards, and added 1 steal and 3 assists. 

Senior Colson Carson closed out his Bulldog career with 16 points, shooting 4-of-11 from the floor and 2-of-7 from three-point range. 

Carson was perfect at the line, hitting 6-of-6, and added 4 rebounds and 2 assists. 

Sophomore Nate Swisher scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting.  

He added 4 rebounds and hit 2-of-5 free throws. 

Senior Keagan Ristvedt had 5 assists, senior Jase Coleman dished out 4 assists, and Miller ended with 3 assists. 

With the loss, Ogden ends the season 6–18 overall and 1–14 in West Central Activities Conference play.  

Tri-Center, now 20–2 on the season, advances in the postseason to face Cherokee Washington (15-6) on Tuesday, February 24. 

Season Statistical Leaders 

Carson scored 282 points and averaged 14.8 points per game. 

He shot 45.3 % from the field and made 30.5% three-pointers. 

Carson also had 155 rebounds and averaged 8.2 rebounds per game (2.8 offensive, 5.4 defensive). 

He also had 42 assists and averaged 2.2 assists per game. 

Miller scored 302 points and averaged 13.7 points per game. 

He shot 44.7% from the field and made 77.9% of his free throws. 

Miller had 115 rebounds and averaged 5.2 rebounds per game. 

Senior Jordan Benjamin scored 173 points and averaged 7.5 points per game. 

He shot 39.3 % from the field and made 31.3 % of three-pointers. 

Benjamin had 102 rebounds and averaged 4.4 rebounds per game. 

Ristvedt had 111 assists and had 5.3 assists per game with a 1.3 assist-to-turnover ratio. 

Coleman had 53 assists and averaged 2.9 assists per game.
