The Ogden Bulldogs cross country teams took on a deep and competitive field at the Norsemen Invitational on Thursday, September 25, at River Bend Golf Course in Story City.
The Ogden girls finished 15th overall with 183 points, competing against several ranked teams including Ballard (#8 in Class 3A) and Madrid (#2 in Class 1A).
Elyse Fisher led the Bulldogs with a 33rd-place finish in 22:19.
Sophie Seligman ran 23:58, and McKenzie Spencer an a 25:09.
Alauna Wells finished in 29:55, and Brylie Hicks rounded out the scoring in 33:15.
Ogden’s boys placed 16th overall with 283 points, facing off against top-ranked teams like Bondurant-Farrar (#11 in Class 3A) and Ballard (#20 in Class 3A).
Myles Tromblay led the Bulldogs with a strong 12th-place finish in 17:20, earning a medal.
Thomas Bergstrom placed 26th in 17:52, earning a season-best.
Landon Abbott followed closely in 27th place with a time of 17:55.
Henry Russo ran 20:17, placing 68th, and Elias Engelmann finished in 22:18, placing 86th.
Ogden’s cross country teams will return to action on Monday, September 29, when they host the Ogden Invitational at Don Williams Golf Course.
