The Ogden Bulldogs remained unbeaten on the season after a 25-24 comeback win over Eagle Grove in a non-district showdown Friday, September 5.
The Bulldogs improved to 2-0, while the Eagles dropped to 1-1.
Neither team found the end zone in a scoreless first quarter, but the offenses came alive in the second.
Eagle Grove took a 16-13 lead into halftime and extended it to 24-19 by the end of the third.
But Ogden refused to back down, scoring the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter and holding off the Eagles to secure the one-point victory.
Quarterback CeJay Jones led the Bulldogs with a strong performance through the air, completing 16 of 24 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns.
On the ground, Cayden Dudley powered the offense with 109 rushing yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns.
Weston Sundell was Jones’ top target, hauling in 8 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Brayden Miller added 4 catches for 57 yards, and Treyton Mitchell contributed 2 receptions for 40 yards.
For the defense, Landon Alexander led the way with 12.5 tackles, including 4 tackles for loss and half a sack.
Zachary Crosman and Dillon Moe combined for 15 tackles and 3 tackles for loss.
Dudley also made his presence felt on defense with 6.5 tackles and a tackle for loss.
Treyton Mitchell added to his all-around performance with 6 tackles, a tackle for loss, and a fumble recovery.
Carson Muggenberg chipped in 6.5 tackles and 2 tackles for loss.
Ogden will look to keep the momentum going when they travel to face Manson-Northwest Webster (0-2) on Friday, September 12.
